The process of collecting the tools it takes to run a business is one that takes time, researching, and last but not least, amazon prime. I have stocked my craft room with MANY amazon products and now I want to share with you the exact items I fell in love with. These items include technology, storage solutions, and secret products that help me run my small business and fill my craft room.
If you click through one of these links and make any purchase (even if it’s not the exact item I recommend) I make a small commision. I want to be completely upfront and honest about that. However, I can truly say that these are all items I use on a regular basis and would recommend to anyone looking to stock their craft room.
- Postal Scale for Shipping Out Packages
I use this scale all the time and it makes weighing packages extremely easy. I’m ashamed to say I used to be that person that would weigh myself on the scale, then pick up the box and step back on to see the difference. No, no, no! There is way too much room for error using that method. Do yourself a favor and purchase a postal scale. This one is extremely accurate and can also be used to weigh food.
- Folding Table
This is extremely useful for putting heavy items on. I cover my table with a cute tablecloth and use it for my sewing machine and project space. If you’re looking for a table, but don’t want to pay for a fancy one, I would definitely suggest going this route. It’s sturdy, can be covered, and provides a lot of space.
- Silhouette CAMEO 3
This machine is AMAZING. There is an endless amount of products you can make for yourself and others. It’s the perfect way to make personalized gifts, mugs with your favorite quote, or T shirts for your squad. This machine cuts vinyl, fabric, cardstock, and much more. Check out ideas on pinterest if you’re needing some new project inspiration!
- Heat Press
While we’re on the silhouette subject… I wanted to show you guys the heat press I use to make a lot of my items. I’ve made T shirts, tote bags, makeup bags, and more! This machine makes transferring vinyl extremely easy. I used to use an iron and thought I was so clever for not being suckered into a machine – 15 billion mess ups later, I caved and bought a heat press. Best. Decision. Ever.
- Contact Paper Backdrop for Photos
I have been asked many times where I found such beautiful wood for my photos and the truth is… It’s not real. In fact, it’s like a fancy sticker that I use to make my product photos look rustic. I apply the contact paper to a piece of foam board and BOOM, there’s my fancy backdrop. It’s affordable and easy. This contact paper can be used for product photos, a photoshoot, or flat lay pictures for instagram!

- Storage Shelf
I’m always looking for storage options and this shelf did the trick for my craft room. This product is affordable, holds plenty of items, and fits nicely in the home. I accidentally buy too many storage bins and shelves – it’s a problem. However, my husband is on board with this one. Check it out if you’re in need of storage options!
- Nikon Camera
This one was a Christmas gift and it has served us well these past few years. You will get extremely high resolution pictures, multiple lenses, SD cards, and more with this package. If you can’t afford this bundle, there are more affordable options that don’t include the extra items and may have been renewed. If you click through our link and make any purchase, we receive a commision. It doesn’t have to be the item above. However, it’s the package we suggest.
- Lighting Kit
This light has been a total lifesaver. I always avoided purchasing a lighting kit because I thought they would be more expensive. However, this one is affordable and makes the largest difference in the quality of my photos. Gone are the days of boosting the exposure all the way up (losing quality in return) because I just didn’t have enough natural light to work with. This one light kit has provided a way for me to get bright, clear photos – even on a rainy day.
- Canon Printer
I purchased this printer, so that I could print photos on canvas to hang in my home. Since then I’ve been obsessed with the quality of this printer. Also, it’s a huge advantage being able to print 13 inches wide x 19 inches long. If you’re in need of a good printer – this is the way to go.
- MacBook Air
Last, but certainly not least, my MacBook Air. This laptop has been my pride and joy for the past 6 years. It has never, ever given me any problems and continues to keep my online life alive and well. I love this thing. I loved it back in college when I was using it to research and write 10+ page essays, and I love it now as I sit here and type out my blog post. I highly recommend this laptop for ANYONE looking for a reliable Mac.
There you have it – the items that keep me sane and keep my online business booming. I have personally used every single one of the suggested items and recommend them to the fullest. Don’t wait any longer… Go grab your credit card, slip into some comfortable clothes, and start shopping on Amazon!
